Menzies Aviation is a subsidiary of John Menzies plc which has an annual turnover of £1.45bn, an operating profit of £34m and employs over 14,000 employees worldwide.
The company is one of the world's major independent suppliers of ground handling services to the aviation market providing passenger, ramp and cargo services for many of the world's leading airlines and some of the busiest international airports. The division employs some 14,500 people across the world, operating at some 122 airports in 28 countries servicing more than 500 aviation customers.
The company decided to implement new Performance Management process and supporting system. This was to improve the uptake of the appraisal process and remove inconsistencies across the organisation.
The system was launched to 400 users worldwide in the English language with Modules including Goal Management, Performance Management and Employee Profiles.
Of key importance were collection of employee data and training of staff.
The system has been well received enabling visibility and reporting of goal and performance management which had not been previously achievable.
Future Plans include Roll out additional review functionality and a Career Development planning module.
