Liverpool City Council

The history of local government in Liverpool dates back to 1848, when a first district council was formed, but it was not until 1872, that the Liverpool Municipality was formed and today Liverpool City Council governs 38 suburbs, is the largest growing city in NSW, with a population of over 160,000 people.

Liverpool is managed by a set of values which are central to its running. These include: Valuing staff by working to enable the recognition of staff performance, encouraging and supporting career development and providing continuous learning.

Central to the council’s people development strategy was to implement a best of breed Learning Management system to replace existing home grown solution. This would help reduce the requirement to continually redevelop and re-design the existing system and ensure compliancy across all the council’s staff.

The scope of project was to manage 20,000 users throughout Liverpool and surrounding areas with a set of custom management reports and HR Interface.

Usage of system has led to the ability to deliver a wider range of services to customers both internally and externality.
